The show is back on the BBC and I am loving the new season! On top of all the good advice from Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood, the contestants come up with beautiful recipes. Definitely a good place for inspiration.
Week one was all about cupcakes and celebration cakes. Some of the cupcakes looked pretty amazing. Shame all the recipes are not online on the Bake off website though...
One I would really like to try is the Bakewell cupcake.
All the available recipes from week one can be found here.
Week two was Pastry. The challenge of the week was to make Tarte au citron. It seems quite tricky to get it right but I will have to try it one day. Mary Berry recipe, which was given to all contestants, can be found here.
On the second day they had to come up with miniature pastries. They all looked pretty good but two that especially caught my eye were:
- Mary-anne's Apple rose tart.
She explains how to make those beautiful roses on her blog Time to Cook
Recipes from week 2 can be found here.
Week 3 will be all about bread. Can't wait to see it.
Enjoy the show.
