{Pop Star Party} Party Bags

Today I will show you how I added some Pop Star "bling" to simple black glossy party bags from Party City.

I used so many self-adhesive rhinestones for this party ! My fingers were literally aching by the time I was done sticking them to all the bags !!! But the pain was worthwhile because the finished bags looked amazing (apart from the fact that glossy bags are impossible to photograph !!!)


For this project you will need:

A star template and washi tape
Black glossy gift bags
Self-adhesive rhinestone
Optional: glitter and glue stick

How to:

To start with, you will need a star template. I used the font Seeing Stars to print a star at a dimension fitting my bags.
Then use some washi tape (because it is so easy to remove and leaves no mark...) to stick the star template to a bag.
Start sticking some rhinestones all around the star.
Remove the template and finish the star shape by adding a few more rhinestones to fill the gaps.

To add a monogram to the bags:
I made a stencil by using my Silhouette to cut out each letter from a piece of card.
I then used this stencil to apply glue directly onto the bag and I sprinkled the wet glue letter with bright pink glitter.

I filled my bags with Pop Star goodies such as Pink Hair Mascara, Glitter Eye Shadow palettes, Microphone...
and I finished them off with Fuchsia sequin tissue paper for added bling !!
